Scuba diving is an activity underwater where the diver uses a self-contained underwater breathing apparatus (scuba) and other equipment to breathe and move underwater. Scuba diving is mainly done to get sight of the unattainable undersea world. What’s interesting about this activity is that a scuba diver is able to navigate through the underwater world which has always been a mystery to many humans who couldn’t explore it due to the human incapability of breathing underwater. So scuba diving gives us the chance to be in that underwater world, even if it is just for a limited amount of time.
Scuba diving is interesting because it allows the diver to explore the beautiful nature undersea and discover the different colors and marine wildlife which are so impressive that people never cease to return.
The equipment you will need for scuba diving is; a Dive Mask and Snorkel to see clearly, breathe easily and equalize pressure on your ears, a Regulator to breathe underwater as it connects to your tank, delivering air to your mouth when you inhale, a Buoyancy Compensator to support the weight of the tank above water and help you control your position underwater, a Submersible Pressure Gauge to keep you updated on how much air you have in your tank, a Dive Computer to display your depth, how long you have been under water and for how long you can safely stay, Scuba Fins to facilitate your movement and make your kicks underwater smooth and efficient and last but not least you will need a Wetsuit to keep your body warm underwater.
If you are going to scuba dive frequently you will have to stay in shape because a healthy cardiovascular system allows you to use less air and limits fatigue, you should also relax in the water and learn to kick in an effective way as stressed divers tend to use more air and when the kicks are not effective the movement under water are exhausting and not effective. Under water, you should also breathe normally and never hold your breath.
